Your dog wears a lightweight, waterproof receiver collar which detects this signal as they approach the established boundary, delivering a warning tone followed by safe static stimulation if they proceed further. With consistent training, dogs quickly learn their limits. The standard kit provides coverage for areas up to approximately 1350 square metres, but it's easily expandable to manage properties as large as 4 hectares simply by purchasing additional wire and training flags. The adjustable receiver collar is designed for dogs weighing over 3.6 kilograms with neck sizes ranging from 15 to 66 centimetres. It features four levels of static correction plus a tone-only mode ideal for the initial training phase. A low battery indicator alerts you when the readily available RFA-67 battery (typically lasting 1-2 months) needs replacing. You can also cleverly use the boundary wire to create internal 'keep-out' zones around garden beds, swimming pools, or play equipment within the main boundary.
