Otter-Messer knives are manufactured in Solingen, Germany, using traditional knifemaking techniques. Meticulous German hand-craftmanship and finishing goes into each model for a dependable, long-lasting knife.

The OTTER® company was founded around 1840 at a traditional grinder's watermill in Solingen by the Berns brothers, the name and logo coming from the otters of the region. In 2011 Frank Rommel took over the company and is leading the traditional manufactory into a new era. The OTTER® product range includes hunting knives, household knives, as well as models for florists and enthusiasts, and all bear witness to the robust quality of the quality of knives made in Solingen, Germany.
